Supported Employment Services is a program of Southwest Counseling Solutions that assists clients with mental illness who are enrolled in Carelink obtain employment. Supported employment is staffed by experienced personnel in job development and employment support services. Employment may be full-time or part-time.

Employment represents one of the tested and proven options that aids in consumer recovery. A client may be admitted into the program no matter where they are in their mental health recovery. Entry into employment services simply requires a client to inform their case manager/therapist of their interest, have the employment referral completed and an appointment with an employment specialist will be set-up.

One of the most important goals is to assist the job seeker in obtaining a job in an area of their interest based upon realistic assessment information. Once employed, the client will receive ongoing support on the worksite from the staff's employment specialist and peer support specialist to assist in maintaining employment.
