The compliance program adopted and implemented by Southwest Solutions establishes effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable federal and state laws and regulations and advance our mission to provide quality mental health services in building a healthy community.
The Southwest Solutions Code of Conduct (Code) defines the legal and ethical policies and standards that govern all employees and their relationships with clients, fellow employees and all other parties. and it provides employees with general guidance for their conduct of business operations. The code has been approved, and with the full support and commitment of the Board of Directors, it is official corporate policy and is applicable to Southwest and all of its employees.
All employees must be aware of the laws that affect their jobs and should carry out their responsibilities in a lawful manner. Employees are expected to adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Code and conduct themselves in a professional, ethical and legal way at all times. They must avoid situations that impair the performance of their official responsibilities or which may have the appearance of impropriety. Avoidance and deterrence of unlawful conduct is every employee's responsibility. Adherence to the Code is vital; it must be part of our business routine - part of our commitment to provide quality services to our clients, and to fulfill our role as a good corporate citizen.
Management is responsible to ensure the Code is administered and enforced consistently throughout the corporation. Each employee must acknowledge in a signed and dated document that the employee has received and read the code of conduct and that the employee understands it and agrees to abide by it. Strict compliance is a condition of employment and adherence to the Code is a factor in evaluating an employee's performance. Disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, may be taken against anyone who violates any provision of the Code or other corporate policies. Violations can also result in civil or criminal penalties.
