| The Bagley Project has invested more than $53 million to revitalize the Hubbard-Richard and Hubbard Farms districts by constructing and renovating single-family homes, building affordable housing, securing funding for infrastructure improvements and housing rehabilitation, developing community parks and gardens, and promoting the arts and neighborhood beautification. The specific goals of the Bagley Project are to: - Improve housing stock for low to moderate-income families
- Attract commercial development
- Stimulate institutional improvement and development
- Promote job creation
- Address other needs for a sustainable neighborhood
Southwest Housing Solutions has formed a Neighborhood Preservation Team (NPT) that is surveying residents and properties in Hubbard Farms. The NPT is gathering detailed data about the housing stock, vacant and foreclosed properties, home repair needs, infrastructure conditions, and quality of life issues and opportunities. The data will be used to formulate and advance community redevelopment plans.
The NPT is also working with block clubs in the neighborhood to address issues of public safety, abandoned homes, environmmental issues, community health, and government services.

The Bagley Project engages partners in the public, private and nonprofit sectors to plan and develop its projects within the historic districts it serves. These projects always architecturally complement the existing housing. We have secured resources to enable owners of existing homes to improve their properties. We have also secured funding to upgrade the public infrastructure, especially alleys and sidewalks, throughout the area we serve. Our efforts have resulted in neighborhood commercial development, public art, and a stronger sense of community. | |
